This movie has literal (cinematic) autopsies in it, which is usually very strictly a no-fly zone for me. But for whatever reason, it was comforting to see tonight. This movie starts out with a nice philosophical exploration of the conflict between cold, hard science and that which exceeds our knowledge and defies explanation. The mysteries in this film are well-conceived and have fairly satisfying reveals. But something in the unfolding left me unsatisfied. I dug this cat that’s in the beginning of the movie, though.
