HL2 IB Art Exhibition

After two very long years of work, and eight works ( ten pieces {two series} I finally got to feel the accomplishment of all of it at the Senior Art Show!! ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦˚.

There was a large turnout of people, and I spent one hour not even noticing the ache of my heels but rather focusing on discussing the in and outs (meanings and more) of my art works!!

Now, finally without terrible deadlines and prompts, I can feel my want to create finally start to return back to me, so I hope when my finals are over I’ll be able to grace myself with my well-deserved one-on-one time with oils.

Although school is difficult, and I complain greatly, I feel blessed to have been granted such an opportunity, but then I remember it is only my hard work and dedication to the arts which has gotten me here and continues to push me forward everyday to dedicate a little bit of me and my personality into all of the work I do (art or not) I guess I just cannot believe that my highschool career of art is over. And I hope doors like these will continue to open themselves to me.!! Thank you for reading. If you are this interested and want reasoning of art/close up let me know! But have a good day.

So many people trying to call ai "art" and themselves "artists" for using it.. and their arguments are so weak. "But I can't draw, uwu" or "what about disabled people?"

1. No one is good at something they just begun learning. It's a process. It's like working out, you need to keep doing it in order to build muscle. Same with learning a language, you need to practice it. Heck, you once needed to learn to walk, art is no different.

2. Disabled artists exist. Like, so many disabled artists! Henry Fraser is paralysed from the neck down but that doesn't stop him from being an artist. Disabled people may not be able to do all the same things a person without disability could, but that doesn't mean that they can't do art.

Art is for everyone, and there are so many mediums.

No matter if it is drawing, dancing, songwriting, crocheting, sculpting, film making, photography, woodworking, macramé, puppetry, etc, it is art! Don't allow ai to take away the joy of creating art.

I would not call myself an artist, but I enjoy crocheting, messing around with water colors, and sometimes I write. I would never use ai to do these things for me. That would take away all the reasons why I do art. Take away the calming effect painting have on me, take away the happiness of finishing a crochet project, take away the joy of people saying that they like my stories. My stories, messy and full of plot holes and bad grammar, but mine and not some slop I couldn't even be bothered to write.
