its not even fucking april fools yet and ive already seen more april fools jokes/posts on my dash than ive seen for any other holiday

So I'm home alone ~all night~ because Mom's staying with Nana and Dad's working out of town and my brother is at a friend's house.

It's a lot like when people are home, except I'm talking to the cats way more and creeping around the house whenever I have to leave my room because I can hear fireworks in the distance and they are FREAKING ME OUT.

Seriously, I hear the ones really far off and think "Ah! It's someone in the house!"

And for about a minute after I heard the crackly ones, I thought that there was a car driving up the driveway -- it's really large gravel -- and that hey maybe it was Dad because Mom called and said I was alone. Except I can't hear his truck and nobody has burst through the door to kill me (yet), so it's just fireworks.

I'm going to die when I move out.

I'm also not going to be able to sleep until the fireworks stop. I'll be here for a while.
