The Fifth Mizukage has a very underappreciated backstory.

She was the only person to have fixed a village without Naruto ex machina - and unlike Hashirama, Tobirama, Yahiko, and many more, her legacy didn't collapse.

Gaara, Nagato, Obito, Sasuke - all needed Naruto's solution to make peace last.

Of those who never had the luxury to meet Naruto, only Kirigakure's peace lasted. Mei transformed the Bloody Mist into a cute mist without Danzo or Hanzo sabotaging her reign the way they unraveled Hashirama and Yahiko's legacies.

So, I wonder, what kind of strategist was she? What did she do? There are so many possibilities to tap on.

k so 1) laara was SO mad at Marethari when she exiled her and Duncan conscripted her, and also mad at her clan for leaving without Tamlen. and also mad at the shems for making their village rise against them 2) when she hugged Merrill before leaving to Ostagar...

3) when she got to Ostagar and saw King Cailan her first thought was "shemlen rulers are a joke" and look who she ended up romancing AND making king... 4) her life has been just endless rage since she got outta her clan. fuck Duncan, fuck the smith, fuck the ash warriors...

Rogue: I respected her strength and power, but I besides that I was never really fond of her. She was even more malevolent than the former guild master that she might as well have been the one running the guild instead. Obviously I was too blind with the desire to become stronger to see this, but her deeds during the Grand Magic Games were proof of that. She took it too far for the sake of upholding Sabertooth's reputation, only to disappear upon defeat. I do not wish ill will upon her, but I hope she learned to be bit more humble.
