Everything is backed up via Python, and I’ve copied the absolute essentials to the new blog. There are some things I need to rework, and I’ll do that when I feel better rested. There will be a link to the new blog as soon as I can change the url.
It’s amazing to think that I’ve been writing here since 2013. I think I’ve really grown a lot, and I’d like to thank everyone who played a part in that.

Venus by Sleeping At Last
At first I thought you were a constellation.
I made a map of your stars, then I had a revelation:
You’re as beautiful as endless,
You’re the universe I’m helpless in.
An astronomer at my best
When I throw away the measurements.
Way Back Home by Bob Crosby & The Bob Cats
The love the liveliest
The life the loveliest
Way back, Way back
Way back home
Pistol Packing Mama by Bing Crosby
She's a terror make no error
But there ain't no lassie fairer
You are enough by Sleeping At Last
When we grew up,
Our shadows grew up too.
But they’re just old ghosts
That we grow attached to.
The tragic flaw is that they hide the truth
Heirloom by Sleeping At Last
When the scale tipped,
When you inherited
A fight that you were born to lose.
It’s not your fault,
No, it’s not your fault,
I put this heavy heart in you.
A Wonderful Guy by Margaret Whiting
I'm as trite and as gay as a daisy in May,
A cliche coming true!
I'm bromidic and bright as a moon happy night
Pouring light on the dew!
Mars by Sleeping At Last
(literally this whole song is amazing, every single line)
Lay your weapons down!
They’re calling off the war
On account of losing track
Of what we’re fighting for.
Bad Blood by Sleeping At Last
(I chose three from this one. Might be against the rules, but they were too good to not include)
So we wrestle with it all-
The concept of grace
And the faithful concrete
As it breaks our fall.
Our questions are all the same.
Identical words; how they feel brand new against different time frames.
We study our story arcs-
Inherently good,
Or were we broken right from the start?
In the name of being brave,
Though it's just another word for being afraid.
Joan of Arc by Arcade Fire
Tu dis que tu es mon juge
Mais je ne te crois pas
Alors tu dis que je suis une sainte
Mais ce n'est pas moi
J'entends des voix
Mais ce n'est pas moi
Je ne suis pas Jeanne d'Arc
And if you shoot you better hit your mark
(Translation: You say you are my judge
But I do not believe you
So you say I'm a saint
But it's not me
I hear voices
But it's not me
I am not Joan of Arc
And if you shoot you better hit your mark)

I’ve been interested in photography for a long time, but I’m still trying to get back into after not having a working camera for years.
I’m very capable of being a rules-lawyer (though I try not to be), mostly because when it comes time to learn the rules for something, I tend to be the only one willing to put the effort into it.
When I first started playing Rock Band, I got stuck playing drums by process of elimination. At first, I was neutral on it, but it grew on me fairly quickly. It’s now my preferred position (though I’ll still grab a tiny plastic guitar regularly), and it’s a significant part of me becoming interested in learning to properly play drums (if I can ever afford a kit).
I’m tagging: @ownyourstage, @carabosse-dracona-thebloodrose, @fruitjuicifer, @ilovethefandoms, @chaoschriss, @idontfangirl-ifanwomen, @t10derly, @skaiprisasheda, @textiless, and @staff. Consider this entirely optional, and don’t feel pressured to do it unless you want to. Except @staff. I’ve got my eyes on you...
Also, I’m tagging @jibbs-or-gibbs here for two reasons: One, I like breaking little rules, like how many people I’m supposed to tag; and two, I enjoy recursive loops. Out!
