Yummy graduated 8th grade today with overall Hero On The Rise award for #MostImproved in #Math and #ELA. When they introduced him by saying that everyday when he would overcome a challenge, he'd say "yeah this is great, but what does it have to do with my future?" He's the hero of his class, being the only #exceptionalchild #specialneeds student with mainstream math and ELA classes. He's the #underdog that his peers always celebrate when he wins. Yummy is living proof that even with #autism, you can #begreat #againstallodds. The first middle school class of his charter school has graduated. Big up to all the community aunties and uncles who have loved Yummy since he was a baby like their own and have never turned their backs on him.
