DEATHBOMB ARC’S HISTORY OF FILM SCORES
While many know us for our hip hop and noise releases, did you know that we’ve also put out a handful of film scores? To help you learn more, we’ve put together this list of convenient inks!
Jonathan Snipes ‘Mask of the Ninja’ - The first and rarest of the film scores we have put out. This was a part of the Captain Ahab fanclub we ran, only on limited CDr. It is the first score release by Snipes of clipping. Film trailer here.
S.R. Cano ‘Reyes of El Sereno’ - This score by the man behind the noise act tik///tik is for a short film Deathbomb Arc produced and released as well. The film is about the amazing artist Albert Reyes who has built a haunted house in his backyard that is up year round. You can see the film here, and more on Albert here.
Jonathan Snipes ‘Excess Flesh’ - This harsh noise meets techno score for the truly fucked up indie horror film Excess Flesh (currently on Shudder) allowed Jonathan to do whatever he wanted, and the results are insane. Film trailer here.
Jonathan Snipes (w/ William Hutson) ‘The Nightmare’ - Currently on presale, only available as a part of our Deathbomb Anniversary Club. This score brings together both producers of clipping. for one of the scariest documentaries you’ll ever see (currently on Netflix)! Trailer here.
Bonus: Jonathan Snipes and Brian Miller (of True Neutral Crew / Foot Village / Gang Wizard) teamed up for the end credits song of the film ‘Snakes on a Plane’. Performed under Snipes’ old stage moniker Captain Ahab, the song got both a music video and we released a CD of it w/ bonus tracks.
