that rp you were talking about, excesshq or whatnot, has had problems WAY before that member lol. they're acting like ignorance is an excuse for the shit they're pulling and trying to look like the good guys but i've been a part of it before and let me tell you, it's a mess, oof. i didn't recognize it at first bc they changed the theme since i was last there so i was ready to take their side until i realized who they were and yeah. problematic af. don't let them fool you. they be snakes.

i don’t know the whole story about what went on before that member.  the temp? admin that i corresponded with however does seem nice and willing to make changes.  hopefully, the other admins will be on board for that.  if not, well, we know where the problem really is. i wouldn’t consider them “good guys” based on all of the problematic fcs tbh but it just doesn’t seem like with that specific member they are at fault.  if they’re willing to make some changes, that’s better than nothing.  lots of rp admins just do it and don’t give a shit when it’s pointed out to them.

Hi April! Just letting you know that excesshq requires that 1/3 of their characters be non-binary which sounds good on paper but really just gives people an excuse to play a white/straight cis male or female character but still be PC by adding a demi- prefix onto their app. That's so offensive to anyone who identifies that way. This isn't even to mention the problematic fcs and the constant admin support (not tolerance, SUPPORT) of having the whole group bully one person based on hearsay

well truthfully i don’t know what the hell my gender is these days and i don’t want to get deep into it so i don’t feel comfortable commenting very much on the first half. because it’s a good idea in practice. people should put more work into diversity in their rp. normally i wouldn’t be negative about that but with the context of all those problematic fcs and the fact that they have eleven nb characters without a single nb fc…. and of course, this on their nav page… they aren’t even trying to recruit nb faces. 

@excesshq​ is apparently not a good place. who still rps jenner fcs? what admins decides yeah, we’re cool with supporting their asses!  and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. i can’t comment on the bullying thing without proof but the gross fcs alone are a huge no.

edit: so the member thing turns out to be a load of bs cus the member (who i’m guessing is this anon) was in the wrong but the rest still stands ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i'm currently looking at livingstonehq or excesshq to join so i thought i might rec them to you as well!

i really like the plot of livingstonehq ! it’s almost perfect to me, except that i don’t know if i like that the app is tied to murders and disappearances. that’s a bit much, ya feel ? still, i’m for sure considering it. kinda feels a bit like the movie ‘nerve,’ which i loved. i dig it. excesshq seems nice too ! honestly, who doesn’t love rich kid rps ? they’re a classic. plus, they always turn out crazy fun. i’m not really in the mood to join one right at this moment, but can you really go wrong with an rp based on young adults with an endless supply of money ? no. no, you cannot.
