Overall Rating: 8/10
Pros: This is a great book for someone who wants to start to approach the joy of movement. The author is very good about framing exercise as something you do for yourself, for your own personal goals (such as strength and stamina) over weight loss. There is advice for how to approach gyms, work out equipment, comments from people and self doubt. There is also a light touch upon body neutrality and health at every size philosophy. For a beginner moving away from the traditional diet culture this is a great book. There is also a resources section for fat friendly equipment, clothing, and exercise courses.
Cons: This book commonly assumes the reader is a woman, probably a cis woman as there is no touching upon the intersection of fat and trans bodies.

did some pretty intense leg exercises yesterday but im not sore at all??? also lifted weights and i feel fine. wow stretching before and after u work out is actually??? beneficial????? why didn’t anyone tell me
win for me, my parent will finally bring me weights that are 10-20Ibs at least. I can finally increase volume a bit.
Gotta drag myself away from my project so I’ll exercise lol
I’m in the danger zone of wrist strain injury recovery in which everything feels fine so the meathead in me wants to start lifting my 2lb weights but intellectually I know I should probably wait at least 3 more months so ensure I’m fully healed and the struggle is real u___u
well, in good news, pain tolerance is going up slowly but steadily
could barely do 5 minutes on this bike when i started, but now i can make it and push another minute or two
between that and dumbbells i’m at least getting the basics of what i should be doing i guess
