EXFM Tees 2019
Exfm is joining Rhapsody!
For the past few months, we've been hinting that we had some big plans for the future. Well, we are very happy to announce that Exfm is joining Rhapsody! For the last 4 years, we've been committed to building an original, fast and fun way to discover new music. Rhapsody has been a leader in the on-demand music space since they pioneered the concept over 10 years ago. By teaming up, we can build the ultimate music service with an amazing social discovery engine backed by Rhapsody's catalog of over 30 million songs. The idea of combining the best of Exfm with the best of Rhapsody has us all extremely excited!
For the next few months, we will be heads down working. When we resurface, we are sure you will love what we have built. We've got some pretty amazing plans for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone and the Web. We may have been doing this for a while, but we feel like we are just getting started. We hope you continue with us on this journey, and a heartfelt thank you for everything.
Please follow us on our blog, Twitter and Facebook for updates. You can always email us as well.
Best,
Dan, Marshall & Jason
I Just Now Realized
My music player on my blog disappeared! So I did a little investigating and apparently Exfm shut down :( WHY?! They were such a good company! I feel genuinely sad about this.. Does anyone know of another third party player that plays all your reblogged audio posts (preferably one that you can just c&p into your html)? Because I'm really missing mine.
Since Exfm's gone now, how am I going to find songs to reblog?
Some Important News
Hey everyone, we know we’ve been pretty quiet around Exfm’s future, but rest assured we’ve been busy talking with folks figuring out the best path forward. While we don’t have anything to announce today, we are confident we will very soon.
Back in December, we announced we were going to shut down Exfm. While we were able to keep it running for a few more months, unfortunately that is no longer the case. On Monday, May 19th, 4 days from now, we are going to shut down Exfm. This includes the website, mobile apps, extensions and API. We urge you to export your loved songs and sites now.
We will continue to communicate what our plans are via email, our blog and Twitter. We’ll leave you with this — we are very excited for what’s next and believe we will ultimately provide you with the best music service in the seven kingdoms.
Love,
Dan, Marshall & Jason
An Update on Exfm
Hey everyone, I’m happy to let you all know that we will NOT be shutting down Exfm today. The outpouring of love and support from you all has truly been amazing. Over the last month, many of you have written to tell us how much you love Exfm and asked if there was anything you could do to help keep the service alive. We’ve been working hard and talking to lots of people to find a way forward. While we continue to explore all our options around potential partnerships, we want to keep Exfm going. While we don’t have anything to announce today, we are optimistic that we can find a great home for Exfm. Please follow us on Twitter @exfm for updates. Love, Dan @dankantor Marshall @majman Jason @jasonculler
Shame ex.fm is removing the feature to browse and love songs. I can still scrobble but I'll not search songs anymore :(
