As a rule Merlin was far better at sewing than he was knitting, but for all that he liked to think he’d done rather a good job of it. What he’d produced was a sweater of soft blue, wool warm and soft; clearly not cheap one might think if they were to touch it. If this had been all the sweater was then no doubt as a gift it would have been lovely, but as with all things with Merlin that was not all there was to it.

Upon the chest of the item of clothing was a curling pink dragon, on reminiscent of the dragon which oft seemed to accompany this man. The image of curling dragon was once more well done and alone would not have been odd, say for the fact Merlin had the poor thing wearing a terribly ugly Hawaiian shirt. No doubt an impressive thing for a creature so long, suited to clothing. Merlin had managed it though, but at what cost remained unclear.

“I hope this will keep you warm on otherwise cold days!” How long, Merlin cannot help but wonder, had it been since anyone had given the other ought? Merlin’s gift was far from conventional, nor was it particularly good, but there was something earnest in his soft around the edges amusement as he shoved it toward the other brooking no argument on it being taken.

Gesturing his smile widened. “Put it on~ I had to guess your size, though I’m sure it will be about right~”
