I'm leaving for 6 moths in Japan on monday. Moving away from home for the first time. All alone. To the other side of the world. 90% exited, 10% terrified. I've grown so much this last year and I feel more alive every day. There is so much I'm happy to leave behind, but also a lot I'm gonna miss... chaos. I need to organize this better. I hope I will have the time of my life and get to know new amazing people! I'm ready for this change.

3 DAYS This summer has just become real to me. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to travel to Catania and be immersed in the Italian culture. However I'm a little nervous that I won't be able to follow conversations in the different language. Only three more days untilI have to be at the airport at 2:45 AM.

In exactly one week my class and I are meeting up in Copenhagen Airport with our tummies filled to the edge with butterflies. We are all going to say goodbye to our families and our everyday lives for two months. And a couple hours flight later we are expected to be ready to greet new ones.
I mainly choose Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium 2 years ago because of this amazing opportunity. I feel really excited about everything regarding this trip! I don’t really know much about what will be meeting me, but that just makes it even more exciting. I’ve found that i’m gonna stay in the Burns family with my friend Maria. We actually thought, that we were going to stay in host families individually, but Maria and I got paired up. Gonna be half sisters for 2 months - and we love it!
I can’t wait for all the new impressions and adventures waiting for me and my friends!

Being friends with an exchange student sucks.. It's awesome but I miss her so much!! We met back in 2009 and we've been extremely close ever since! I just wish she didn't live all the way in Brussels... Come back!!! I miss making jokes, gossiping about boys, reading fashion magazines, and laughing till we cry.
