"I'm Denzel Bryan, I'm Going To Own It."
Our newest Exist Man is a young male model who has been featured on Vogue.com, MTV Style and DazedDigital.com. He has walked fashion shows during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and in the United Nations. His proudest moment yet was being the first male to cover Blush Magazine, his school's (F.I.T.) beauty and fashion publication. And this is only the beginning for the ambitious 19-year-old, so let's all get into Denzel Bryan, our newest Exist Man. It's not like this will be the last time you hear his name anyway.Â
ME: Who are you? Where are you from? Tell us something unique about yourself.
DENZEL: I was born in Brooklyn [New York] but raised in South Carolina, but at heart I rep Brooklyn. South Carolina was a wild place, I always knew I'd be back home in New York, it's where I need to be for my career. Most people expect and perceive me to be stuck up and mean and I'm actually the biggest geek! I love super heroes, X Men, Marvel and cereal.
ME: What do you do/what is your passion?
DENZEL: I'm a professional model and modeling is my number one passion. If I wasn't modeling, I would still want to be in the public eye somehow, I don't have to necessarily be famous, but I believe it's where I'm meant to be. I used to be overweight as a child so I want to inspire people and be an example to never be deterred.
ME: How do you inspire the males around you?Â
DENZEL: I come from humble beginnings, so it's important to always remain humble, and be ambitious.
ME: âMen Existâ encourages men to take care of themselves and embrace their own unique masculinity by showcasing different men with different lifestyles, passions and styles. These men not only embrace who they are but look and feel good as well. An âExist Manâ represents and exudes individuality, self-confidence, self-awareness, uniqueness and style. What makes you an âExist Manâ?
DENZEL: No one can stop Denzel from being Denzel. I'm too aware of who I am. I'm passionate and confident about what I do. I'm Denzel Bryan, I'm going to own it.
ME: How would you describe your style? What does your style say about you? Explain to us your process to picking an outfit.
DENZEL: My style is very minimal, sleek and homme. I'm always wearing black. If it's not black, put it back. Black to me represents power and makes a statement in a subtle way. I like pieces that are classic, long lasting and that I can mix other pieces with.
ME: Do you have any advice you would give to the fellow bros?
DENZEL: On pursuing modeling- accept rejection, be aware, confident, open-minded, open to creation, realistic, yourself and ambitious.
ME: Although we are constantly maturing and evolving as men, has there ever been a moment in your life that changed you into the better man you are today?
DENZEL: It was really hard for me when I lost my oldest brother. We were four years apart. He's always supported me, influenced and inspired me so much. I looked up to him. I came out to him and he never judged me, and my brother was straight and hood, that says so much about him. Throughout this experience I learned to appreciate life and the people in it.
And there you have it. Remember the name, because Denzel Bryan is only getting started.Â
