Love for Kanye?
Kanye West is that guy you either love or hate. There seems to be no in between. Either way, one thing you cannot deny is his drive and ambition, a true go-getter. I personally never hated nor loved him, I was very indifferent towards him but did jam to his music and appreciate and recognized his talent. After listening and watching the infamous video of him on Sway in the morning radio show, I saw him in a different light. Although I did not agree with EVERYTHING he had to say and his approach especially, I did gain some love and more respect for him.
Kanye had a lot to say about a lot of things, (this is nothing new), but It was interesting to hear him speak on himself and fashion, how he's viewed and his struggles to be accepted despite his fame. I'm not justifying his actions or arrogance but I can understand where it and he is coming from now. At the end of the day he's trying to accomplish a dream, all that he desires to do, and why should he allow for someone or something to get in the way of that? I admire him and respect his grind and hustle. When I think of celebrity Exist Men, Kanye is among the first men I think of, along with Ryan Gosling, Pharrell Williams and Kid Cudi. These are true Celebrity Exist Men. I believe Kanye along with the men named, are men who should be inspiring to other males. They have broken some of the stereotypes society has on men from fashion to general expectations. Kanye actually discusses in the video his struggle with going into the fashion world and his rejection from certain fans who view him as a "faggot" for being into fashion. Mind you, all of these men are into fashion and style, and they're all straight and married or have a girlfriend.
So yes, I have love for Kanye West and this is why. He is a representation of what an Exist Man is and what Men Exist is about.
This may be old news now to some but you should take a listen to what he has to say on Sway in the morning radio show. Below is the link if you missed it. It actually enlightened me.
