This is a piece that I did for @koilada​’s birthday a couple weeks ago...and then forgot to post publicly 🤣 (She still got it on her bday, though, don’t worry.)

It’s her two favorite fitey girls - Cassandra (from Tangled the Series) and Lenalee (from D.Gray-Man) - clothing-swapped! ...with some minor adjustments on Cass’s end, because I think we can all agree she wouldn’t be too keen on wearing a frilly pink miniskirt.

I’m pretty happy with the way this turned out! Even though I’m not 100% sure that I got the details of Cass’s(usually Lenalee’s) uniform right, especially those boots, they were a definite challenge. I was making little edits to them right up to the last minute, lol.

Luckily, I’m so familiar with Cass’s clothes at this point that drawing them on Lenalee came pretty naturally to me. Lena’s face and hair, on the other hand, were a bit more challenging. Mostly due to the huge style difference, and the fact that this was my first attempt at drawing her. But regardless - I think they both came out nice. And the birthday girl was very happy with it, which is the most important thing! 💕

Have I mentioned how much I love Varian’s mom/Ulla (as Kait & Anna have unofficially named her)?

Alchemy Mom is best mom, and I really wish we had more background information on her and how she met Quirin...although, I also don’t, because I enjoy coming up with things myself way too much, lol.

Wow. Over a month later, and my S3 premiere piece is finally finished. xD

Yay for my favorite Freckled Duo!!! ❤

I’m so happy that these two are back to being friends again, I love their sibling-like relationship so much! And although I still feel like there was a lot of potential left untouched with Varian’s role as a temporary villain - I have to say, it’s worth it if I get these two back in my life again. 

I’m so excited to see how much more they’re going to grow in the final season!!

I did some designs for Cassandra’s first look in “Act” 1 of The Flower’s Keeper AU (which you can read a little more about on this post: x )

I wanted to keep it fairly simple since she wouldn’t have access to anything particularly nice or fancy. Koi and I both had been picturing her in green since the concept was originally formed (for the record, this was well before PEEV aired and green-tunic-Cass became canon, lol.) We felt it would give her a stealth advantage when scavenging, and I also liked the idea of her having longer hair to represent the difference in her upbringing.

Tiny fact: The belt across her shoulder was actually going to be either a satchel (for her to collect/hide things in) or a hunting quiver, buuuut...I kind of forgot to draw that in. So now it’s just a belt. 😂 I’ll probably give her a satchel in future illustrations, though, because she does need one for a lot of the earlier events of the AU.

“This is so great! I feel like a biiiiiird!”

FINALLY, WHOO!!! I’ve been planning to do a full-color, TTS-Style, Birdian design since Freebird originally aired! And then, when I saw Varian’s new steampunk design for Season 3, I finally caved. I needed a dapper science bird in my life.

So, my friend (and fellow mod) @koilada and I spent hoooouuuurs one night scouring the web for the Best Birb Reference for Birdian. We actually found quite a few feathery contenders, but as soon as we saw the wing pattern of the orchard oriole, we both knew that was the one. It was too perfect to pass up.

I had so much fun with this. I’m especially proud of how the wings and collar turned out!

**Also, fun fact: his beak is the same color as his new apron. It just so happened to be a nice muted-gold that worked really well with the show’s bird designs, which I was really happy about. xD**

I’m thinking about calling this the “Apprentice AU”

Summary:  Hades & Persephone's love has grown cold. They now spend most of their time separated, even in the fall and winter. Hades is too distracted with his work & running the Underworld; Persephone is busy managing a speakeasy behind his back, while also seeing to it that the above world survives. 

Upon witnessing the impact that Orpheus’s songs have on the natural world, Persephone decides to take him on as her pupil. She helps him discover ways to use his gift to its highest potential, beginning a process of healing for the mortal world after years of hardship.

At the same time - Hades takes an interest in the young survivalist, Eurydice. He offers her an opportunity to work for him, in exchange for her security & protection. Eurydice is soon entrusted with an important job: recruiting new souls to bring down to Hadestown (being that Hades himself is too busy to do so.) Eurydice takes her job extremely seriously. She earns a near-perfect track record, collecting soul upon soul and feeding them to the assembly line without batting an eye. She obediently follows every order she’s given, never hesitating or stopping to question if it’s right. Never, that is,...until she meets Orpheus.

I adore Reeve’s Orpheus with my whole heart and I’ve been feeling really down lately, so I figured I’d practice drawing him in my style some more. I’m not 100% content with the design just yet, but it’s getting there.

*Note: it isn’t especially clear in this picture, but I have this idea of his guitar having a golden lyre-shaped design around the inside rim.
