      they’re not the CLOSEST of friends. in all actuality, he doesn’t really see her at school... EVER. so they’re only acquainted through lara jean -- but enough so that he still WOULD consider her a friend. enough so that he cares about her safety.                      ❝    chris --- i’m SERIOUS!    ❞      he has a way of getting like this --- an on/off switch of PROTECTION. though, regardless of the tension in his arms and jaw, he tries to remain soft as to not push her away. a burdened sigh, and he sits down beside her.                      ❝     please just -- just tell me what happened?                          you know i’m not gonna rat on you to anyone.  ❞
