Next Exam Syllabus and NEXT question paper pattern
Soon NEXT Exam (more commonly known as National Exit Exam for MBBS will be a only examination which will replace NEET-PG exam & MCI Screening exam (FMGE: Foreign Medical Graduate Examination).
This exam is mandatory for all medical graduates i.e. Indian and foreign graduates.After clearing the next exit exam students can their internship. Students who are planning for Post Graduation the Score (rank) in NEXT exam will be used to allot seats for PG (MD/ MS/ DNB/ Diploma) in Government and private medical colleges in India.
National exit test for MBBS will equalize medical education in India.This exam will judge the problem solving ability and conceptual knowledge of MBBS students in final year.
The NEXT question paper pattern will contains of two parts:NEXT-1 i.e.Theory and (NEXT-2)i.e.practical. In Next-1 exam (theory) there will be multiple choice questions (MCQs).After final year MBBS NEXT-1 will be conducted i.e. before the internship.
Students will start internship after clearing NEXT-1. Those who clear through theory (i.e. NEXT-1) will have to pass
NEXT-2 (practical test) which is conducted at the end of internship. After the internship the score obtained in NEXT-1 will benefit you to gain a PG seat.
Practical (NEXT- 2) will be a pass/ fail kind of exam. NEXT-1 will be a qualifying as well as competitive exam for PG seats allocation. For PG seats allocation Marks in NEXT-2 will not considered.
For Next exam there are unlimited attempts.For the purpose of PG Entrance ranking Score of NEXT-1 exam will be valid for 2 to 3 years.
National Exit Test Syllabus
In NEXT exit test syllabus for MBBS will comprise all 19 subjects which are there in new MCI curriculum.Subject-wise marks distribution will be significantly vary from what it was in MCI Screening exam (FMGE) or NEET-PG exam. The weight-age for clinical subjects will carry excessive more marks than pre- & para-clinical subjects.
The official declaration about NEXT question paper pattern is yet to come from NMC (National Medical Commission), NBE (National Board of Examination) or NTA (National Testing Agency)
