Second batch of OnePunchtober entries! It seems I'll do them all after all ^^ (even if I'm likely to finish in November)

Day 9: Hospital/injured

I'll NEVER not love that he actually took a little bit of time to make his pomp after escaping the hopital =p whomever made that bag was a genius to include the hair gel, hahaha.

Day 10: Rivals!

Two of them working together against an enemy in common ^^ as some of you know, I'm not big on Batarou (I outright dislike a LOT of the established fan dynamics), but I love Murata's Batarou against Sage centipede... one of mutual enhacement, and Badd keeping his head high and being rightfully respected despite being a lot less powerful than Garou ^^

The mental image of Tatsumakin wearing that one hoodie, in a combination that made absolutely no sense of shorts and flip flops was so funny in my head, I just had to draw it =p also, Badd in that one Webcomic hoodie that hopefully he gets to wear in the Manga too, at some point ^^

Day 16: Least favourite character

I enjoy McCoy as a chararcter, but he's such an opportunistic coward! Less bad than NeoHeroes highups, of course, still dastardly and self serving. I enjoyed drawing him a ton, though ^^ do you think he pooped, or peed his pants here? haha.

Day 17: favourite headcanon

I love this one in concept, but i failed the execution so I want to redraw it at some point ;; I drew this in a rush, 40 or so minutes before a field trip -If Murata came out and told us Sekingar has legally adopted Badd, I would not even question it because that's basically official in my mind =p I love LOVE love their dynamics so much!! ^^ they warm my heart and feed my soul.

Day 18: Strenght/weaponry

I already shared this one in a separate entry, but I wanted to re-share it for the sake of organization ^^ it took really long! I love how it's drawn, but I kinda fumbled the colors as I painted in a different screen, one that makes colors really hard to see, so I stole them all straight from different anime screenshots. Should've known better!

Day 19: Martial arts

Unlike many people, I actually do really enjoy Charanko! ^^ and he doesn't get a lot of love, so for him goes this day. Silly funny guy.

Day 23: Hero Association Representatives

If you told me to pick (1) OPM character to marry, Exma would be my pick no doubt ^^ after her, Sekingar haha. I LOVE her so much, and this was a perfect chance to draw her ^^

Work and real life often get in the way, but I can say I've been having an absolute blast with this project!! Very fun and very motivating, it truly shows we should always be having art events in fandom ^ ^ they're absolutely amazing!!

Saitama, labeled a danger to society?

When Garou said that a being like that should not be allowed to roam free on Earth, it is not actually the first time it's alluded that Saitama is possible danger to society.

If someone actively stops Saitama from performing his heroic duty or questions it, he gets ticked off and he's remarkably stubborn person.

So I do wonder of HA's disciplinary measures will try to come to play, since all they know is that Saitama is a B-class hero, not S-class hero, due to some kind of misunderstanding or clash in ideology.

Hell, if he defends Garou after latest chapter, after Garou beat up a ton of heroes when he was hunting for them, it would already be a mark of insubordination on his book.

But then failure upon putting those disciplinary measures to play gets him fired and labeled as criminal and he has to run for it with his social circle who happen to be loyal to him and when they send out heroes to bring him in, it will escalate like it did with Garou and suddenly the world knows about Saitama, his strenght and who he hangs around with...in the worst possible ways. There's an unknown level threat on the loose with a band of rogue S-rank and mix level heroes with him and HA will scramble to find answer. Genos would have to stand by his promise that he would stick by Saitama, even if the world turned against him. Saitama does have one enemy in HA association already and he has pondered about the potential chance of having enemies before.

This guy is not above using means like blackmail to get things done. But Saitama stood in his way directly when he performed his heroic duty that he saw morally correct.

There might be something to the allusions Phoenixman made to Child emperor about the atrocities that HA does behind everyone's backs and Saitama finds out about them. He would definitely defend his idea of justice to the very end in a scenario like that.

It just so happens that Caped Baldy had already shown to rank 2 hero Tatsumaki that she can't defeat him either in WC. Jinzuren is also one of the people who would believe her if she actually admitted to losing to Caped Baldy. Rank 2 S-class hero losing? Unfathomable. So they call in Blast.

And Blast will come to know that Saitama has divine powers of his own when Blast and his team confront Saitama and Co and the situation becomes even more complicated when it escalates even further, because a rogue S-rank is one thing, but rogue God-level threat is another. Maybe Blast knows about all the possible scenarios where Saitama has previously lost control and so now that it seems like Saitama has gone rogue, it's time to contain him.

Blast would also have the power to clear his name from any misunderstandings after shit hits the fan, but a clash of ideals seems inevitable. And clash between more beings who have divine powers and Blast seems to be the only one who would have knowledge about divine powers as means to introduce them.

Don't jinx yourself Saitama. Oh wait, you always do dont'cha? *sigh*

One of the best things about what I do, is getting to visit new places and share music with new friends. I have had the best time in Sardegna over the last few days!

Qartonica: la mostra dell’artista Gianfranco Quartu, dal 23 maggio all’EXMA - vivereacagliari.net

Qartonica – ogni faccia ha una storia, ogni storia ha una faccia. Personale di Gianfranco Quartu, dal 23 maggio al 22 giugno presso la Sala.

Un viaggio nel mondo dell’immaginazione, tra volti onirici e racconti surreali: arriva a Cagliari “Qartonica – Ogni faccia ha una storia, ogni storia ha una faccia”, la nuova mostra dell’artista visivo Gianfranco Quartu, visitabile dal 23 maggio al 22 giugno 2025 presso la Sala della Torretta dell’EXMA.

In esposizione quattordici lavori sotto l’etichetta “Qartonica”, un termine che fonde carta e cartoon, definendo con ironia e originalità lo stile inconfondibile dell’autore. Le opere, realizzate con tecniche miste che combinano acquerello, stampa fotografica e acrilico, rappresentano ritratti femminili sproporzionati e intensi, sospesi tra realtà e fantasia.

La base di partenza sono delicati acquerelli su cartoncino a grana grossa, capaci di valorizzare la texture del supporto e la trasparenza delle tinte. A questi si aggiunge un lavoro di rielaborazione fotografica e pittorica, che amplifica le emozioni trasmesse dai soggetti, trasformando ogni ritratto anche in un oggetto decorativo carico di personalità.

L’atmosfera delle opere, sebbene talvolta caratterizzata da fondi scuri, rimane sempre leggera e armoniosa, grazie all’uso di pastelli e accostamenti cromatici delicati, che conferiscono a ogni lavoro una qualità quasi eterea. Tra colore, forma ed emozione, ogni creazione di Qartonica parla direttamente all’osservatore, evocando l’effimero e il sogno.

Gianfranco Quartu è un visual artist e giornalista. Ha curato numerose mostre fotografiche e video documentari, dedicandosi parallelamente alla pittura e alle arti visive. Con lo pseudonimo Qartonica realizza opere e complementi d’arredo attraverso un linguaggio ibrido che unisce acquerello, fotografia e colori acrilici. È attivo anche nel giornalismo enogastronomico, specializzato in vino e cultura del cibo.
