every day diary 1?
helloooo it's been a while. Emma said I now need to write in this blog everyday, which is probably for the best cause I have tons of ideas.
I'm thinking since the deadline is so close I might start doing it on the computer? like a trial run or something but basically any free moment I have I should be drawing in my book. Right now at this moment I'm multi tasking with typing up this blog and looking for the research into EXO fan art pictures, they are soooo much better than my work but my mum said I should stop comparing my work with everyone else's. but I think comparing is really good, it'll make me work towards a more professional standard of drawing.
Rudi took me to an art gallery where I saw this amazing collage artist who I guess recreates old wood stamp art from japan and uses collage to recreate the picture with a modern twist. it has a light box behind it which gives us and eerie glow. I can't help but think I'm doing something somewhat similar, recreating dance choreography with collage.
Speaking of which something that I've discussed with my self is that I WILL include the north Korea situation in my work. yes. it's exactly what I decided I DIDN'T want to do but actually changing my project to something more meaningful could work to my advantage.my piece will now be about how south Korea covers up the issue in North Korea with media distractions making us pay more attention to idol groups rather than what is happening in their own country and earning a profit from it. weaved into the choreography I'm going to include little snap shots of quotes said by people who have escaped from North Korea and forming them into images of animation. I got that idea from when I was looking through some of the work Salford illustration course did when they had people suffering from Alzheimer's and using their stories to work on posters to promote a charity to raising funds for the research.
to be completely honest I really do want to work on the piece with my hand drawn animation but I overestimated myself. of course I'm still going to be working on it but I always put too much detail to carry on strong. Sooo I need to put a lot less detail in my work. The ones I have done I'll leave alone. but no more. YOU HEAR ME?NO MORE
