"It's so hooot." You whined as you flapped your hand in front of your flushed face while the other wiped off sweat dripping down your forehead.
A deep groan followed after your whine and the bed squeaked from the loss of weight, causing you to lift your head from your sprawled-out position to see what Junmyeon was doing.
Your eyes followed him until he left the room and you flopped your head back, closing your eyes to somehow block out the heat. Yet, sadly, it didn't work.
You lazed on the bed for another minute or two, until you suddenly heard the clinking and jingling of keys and lifted your head again. You felt sweat dribble down the back of your neck as you did.
"Junmyeon?" You called out as you stared at the doorway; peaking your interest.
When you received no reply, you got up to investigate, fanning your shirt as you did. You shuffle your sweaty feet against the cool tiled floors, relishing in the feeling bestowed upon your feet.
Once you shuffled into the lounge room, you searched for the object -person- of your investigation, surprisingly coming up with nothing. You shuffled towards the kitchen, calling for him again, until something -someone- caught your eye.
"Junmyeon..." You stopped right behind your slouched over boyfriend and continued in a slow voice, "...what are you doing?"
Seemingly oblivious to the looming figure behind him, he continued to slouch and mutter to himself. You watched a droplet of sweat trickle down his exposed neck slowly, before you decided to nudge his back with your foot and repeated your question.
"Oi, what are you doing?"
"Finding a deal." Was the simple response.
For some reason, the first thing that came into your mind was some shady deal and you quickly expressed your confusion.
"What."
Your flushed cheeks lost a tiny bit of heat as your mind raced through a bunch of questions; why did he need a deal? How on earth didn't I know he was involved with that? -Who the hell does that shit in this heat? --- would it make you hallucinate that it's cold? Cause you're down-
"I'm finding an air-con." Junmyeon said and- oh...
"I can't bare this heat any longer." He leaned on your legs and looked up at you with an adorable pout.
The heat - not him! - is what made your cheeks become hotter and you carded your fingers through his sweaty, yet soft locks.
"How about we just get an ice-cream?" You suggested and explained, "It's too hot to go buy an air-con."
Junmyeon whined your name and slouched over his phone again, causing you to sigh.
"Junmyeon, I doubt you're gonna find an air-con that's close-"
"I found one!"
"...really?" You crouched down, slightly embarrassed, to get a look at the 'one'.
"It's only 3 blocks away! And it's cheap!" Junmyeon's eyes sparkled when they met yours and a smile tugged onto your lips.
"Not bad, my man, not bad." You pat his back and gleamed at him.
Junmyeon raised an eyebrow at your comment, but decided to ignore it and stood up, helping you with him.
"Let's go now." Junmyeon slipped his shoes on before you could stop him.
"I don't wanna." You pouted at the thought of walking out into the scorching heat, tugging on Junmyeon's hand.
Junmyeon looks at you for a second, most-likely wrapping his mind around the fact that his girlfriend doesn't want to go get an air-con to escape the heat. Until his eyes lit up with something you knew you would succumb to and go with him.
"We can get ice-cream on the way back."
Told you so.
"...okay, but you're paying!" You grin cheekily, slipping your shoes on and buttoning up your shirt so it didn't reveal too much, yet still cooled you down.
"Don't I always?" Junmyeon chuckles to himself as he shuts the door and follows his skipping girlfriend.
