The Umbrella Man (YiFan): Part 1. I wanted to dedicate this side series to @duizhangdeluxe for being such an awesome role model to me and my blog. I really aspire to be a good writer like you are. You help me through some tough times and I want to repay you with what I do best. :) I hope you enjoy this scenario, even though my skills aren't nearly as well as yours. >.> Plus, YiFan always needs some more lovin’ on this blog.~

(♫) I don't need to try to control you; look into my eyes and I own you.
"I'll see you tonight, _____?"
"In your dreams, Minseok." You laugh lightly over your shoulder. He grabs your arm and stops you, before giving you a sad smile.
"It's always like that." He says. You return his smile just as solemnly.
The chorus of rain patters against the concrete, enveloping the city in a light fog. You step outside and turn your head up to the grey sky, sucking on your lip unsurely as you debate whether or not to make a run for it. The weatherman said there was a 10% chance of rain today (so much for that).
Just as you're about to risk running for it, the black material of an umbrella fills your vision, and you turn your head to your right to see a tall man in a trench coat, holding it between you two. Your mouth falls open to thank him, but you're rendered speechless as you look into his eyes.
His brown irises make your breath catch, along with his strange attire and even stranger attractive looks. You've never met someone so stunning, let alone weird. In the back of your mind, you know what his clothes and intense gaze mean, but you ignore it when he gives you a short smirk.
"It's raining, don't you see?" He asks, pointing languidly at the dark sky. When you nod wordlessly, his smirk grows, and he leans a little closer so he can quietly ask, "Would you like to go somewhere with me?"
And even though you planned on relaxing all weekend the second you got home, in that moment, you couldn't find anything more tempting than to say "yes".
But, you resist, knowing that a handsome stranger who invites you somewhere isn't the best thing to go along with, no matter how much you want to. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" You ask, trying to appear unfazed by his almost overwhelming demeanor. Instead of dropping his ego, he continues to grin at you in an almost amused way.
"Not unless you want to," He replies smartly, making you bite the inside of your cheek. You've always been a sucker for confident men. "Though, maybe you're not ready to know me." He says, holding the umbrella closer to you until your hands are touching. "Go home tonight." He tells you, smiling. "And get some rest."
After transferring the handle from his hand to yours, he leans down and taps something by his ankle, before jumping up. Before your very eyes, you watch a board materialize beneath his feet, and recognize it as the latest modern invention.
"I hope you'll return my umbrella the next time I come for you." He says, once again making your blood hot when he smirks at you. "And then some."
And before you can tell him you're not that easy (lies), or ask him why he was doing this, or wonder about his sudden appearance, the only thing in your mind while he floats up and flies off above traffic is, he's coming back.
Every day for the next four days, you check the weather and wish for rain, but no luck. You even wish for the strange chance of it pouring like it did that day, but nothing goes your way. As the week goes by, you begin to wonder if you imagined it all, and cling to the one thing that proved it was real: his black umbrella.
Many times you opened and closed it to find something out about the man, and the only clue you got was a name engraved on the curve of the handle. WYF. You assume it's his initials, but maybe it isn't.
You don't pay attention to the news as much as you should, but you're not so ignorant that you can't recognize a potential predator. You're almost positive that this man was part of that gang that recently surfaced from an underground network, claiming that technology was the key to advancing the human race and was causing ruckus in every city with illegal inventions to prove their point. He wore the signature black coat, had the obvious clue of a hover board-- there was no doubt about it, yet, you're not turned off in the least.
In fact, knowing he could be dangerous only made you more intrigued.
It's one of the few bad qualities about yourself that you never managed to polish after graduating college; your thrill for trouble. There's something about willingly letting yourself fall for such a man that makes your blood pump with adrenaline.
And what's more, why did he randomly approach you in the rain? Is his group recruiting? You don't know if you're brave enough to even consider doing that and breaking the law, but the idea is enough to make you pause whenever your thoughts get too caught up in this stranger. It puts you in your place. It reminds you that you have a normal life and have always wanted a normal future. Associating yourself with riff-raff only keeps you from that future.
Yet, on Wednesday, when a light drizzle of rain falls over the city, your hand is tightly gripping his umbrella as you walk under the rain from work. You lingered at the entrance of your vocation building for a bit, but when he didn't appear, you decided that you got your hopes up for nothing and dragged your feet along the wet pavement in disappointment.
You don't watch where you're going, too ashamed with yourself for getting so caught up in a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence, that you don't realize you're walking straight towards a figure until that figure moves.
"Why the face?" And just like that, your mood is lifted and your breath is gone for a second time. "Cheer up a little, don't you see?" The umbrella man from before smirks, pointing up at the sky languidly. "It's raining."

I know this is very a selfish wish of mine but I dont really want Kris to go. But then again as a exo fan I want him to be happy. Why would I want to tie our "dragon's" wings when all he wanted to do is to fly right?
