Affection

A small gift fic for @exon404​, who has done a really cute series of Satou x IBM kisses, like this one. So I wrote them a small thing based on the series!

The ship is Satou x IBM.

Satou preferred to be left alone when playing his games, but it wasn’t unusual for someone to interrupt him anyway. Usually it was Tanaka, coming to ask him his opinion on something mundane. Sometimes it was Takahashi or even Gen, sent by Tanaka to get him for something.

Okuyama never bothered him, which was ideal.

The last person he expected to bother him was his own IBM. He’d assumed it would simply leave him alone, but when the door opened without a greeting, Satou turned to check and found his IBM standing in the doorway.

“Hnn,” he said, turning back to his game and ignoring the IBM completely. It was free to do what it liked, but just because it was there didn’t mean that he had to pay it any attention.

“...practice...” Came a quiet voice behind him. Satou’s attempts to ignore his own IBM came to an abrupt halt as the IBM leaned over his shoulder, dragging its tongue down the side of his face.

Satou made a face as he hit the pause button, setting the controller down and turning to face the ghost head on.

“If you wanted attention, you should say it,” he said firmly. The IBM had never shown any signs of being able to speak--not really--but sometimes its repetitions could be just like actual speech.

“...attention...” The IBM repeated, and Satou stared up at it, unable to tell if it was a random word or if it actually understood what it meant.

After a moment, he decided that the IBM had showed some intelligence in the past, so there was no reason it couldn’t understand that much.

“Satou... ajin...” It continued, pressing in to drag its tongue over his lips.

“If you insist,” Satou said, reaching up to wrap his arm around the IBM’s shoulders, pulling it down to his level and pressing his lips to his IBM’s mouth.

It wasn’t like kissing a human, but that didn’t stop it from being enjoyable in its own way. After a long moment, Satou finally pulled back, licking his lips and glancing up at the still IBM.

“Next time, just ask,” Satou said firmly, unable to contain his amusement when the IBM leaned in again.

“Kiss,” the IBM instructed, and Satou let out another laugh before doing just that.
