no description atm sorry i have a pretty bad migraine and i need it to go away; i'm not unfocusing my eyes here btw i'm just looking from the camera to a bush in front of my car lol

i think the doctor gave me a good tip that eye misalignment isn't solely based on how your eyes look but also the light reflection

as i understand it you can have a mild misalignment with a mostly symmetrical light reflection but if the light reflection is asymmetrical (in its location on the eye specifically) that's when it's more clinically significant?

which makes sense

anyway i got the result i expected which was "it's there but very mildly, come back if it gets worse," i don't need a prism but that's what i was there to ensure

but she described it as exophoria rather than exotropia which confuses me a little based on what i knew about those terms previously but 🤷🏻‍♀️ not a big deal

Hi I came across your post about strabismus surgery and I was widening if you were willing to share some information with me about it! I am having it done Tuesday and I am really interested in how you were after surgery & if you are happy with your results?

Hi! Sorry, I didn’t see your mail before (:

After the surgery I was very tired because of the narcosis. It took me three days to recover from the narcosis. My right eye hurt and it was worst the third day - by then it was awfully swollen, and hurt like hell.

I was very happy with the result - I have been without prism glasses since then (10/12 2012). But now, 1,5 year after the surgery, my eye is turning outside again… So I need to see an orthoptist again and maybe do the surgery once more. That doesn't bother me very much - I find it quite exciting to visit hospitals x)
