thanks love! I know it’s set in the US, but it felt like the dudes saying it was “more grounded” meant that it was the case because it was set in America - like the ones set in other countries were unrelatable or something.. I could be projecting. It just annoyed me a bit! <33

I’d still want Kirk. He’d grip your arms and tell you to pull yourself together but then, after shift, he’d shoulder you gently and be like, ‘Alcohol? Will that help.’ and go out for a drink with you to make sure you’re alright. And that’s the kind of workplace reassurances that I need (that’s also the kind of boss I am, so I feel it).

I’m just a delicate little soul though. I think Kirk would make me cry more cause he’s so handsome he’s too perfect? (Also the best way to make me feel less bad about a situation is through grumpiness so Bones is like perf). 

I would like to get drunk with him though lmao that’d be a story to tell

i absolutely believe that Kirk went into space looking for love -- and somehow the universe let him stumble onto the Enterprise and he fell for her immediately. then later, with the crew, and it's no wonder that Starfleet can't seem to keep him on the ground. he'll always go back to her and back to them. his heart beats through her decks and throughout the warmth of her core. (don't mind me just waxing poetic about James T. Kirk)

Actually !!! I was thinking about this but never got to the post stage of thinking. 

Cause he is like a Lonely Ass Man. It’s possible being in a starship/in the fleet just suits him really well cause there’d be people around him all the time. Or maybe he’s like I need to keep going out there cause I haven’t found what I need on Earth (If I keep my body moving, and my mind occupied at all times, I will avoid falling into a bottomless pit of despair)

'no one loves bones' what trash! everyone i see talking about trek loves bones. i love bones. i love him so much.

i meant how he appears to be single in canon (and not in love with his first officer)
