So I found this ridiculously informative video that might help other Reno writers (and Rod writers if they’re still out there!) when writing about the EMR, including how its stored, how to extend it and how to fend off an attacker.

This is just me providing a resource/reference for other people. I’m not condoning the use of a baton in real life - by police or public.

I also found this other video (under the cut for length)  that you could probably call “supplementary information” to keep in mind any legalities and stuff when writing about it. The editing is questionably bad but it’s still informative.

There might be a pop-up on the video linking to a playlist of baton fails, there is also a link to the playlist in the description of the original video. I would not recommend going into that unless you are fine with witnessing videos of (police) brutality as there is quite a bit.
