After watching Alone for years, I started wondering:

What knives do the winners actually carry?

Most people expect huge survival knives, axes, and machetes. But after looking at every winner from Seasons 1–12, the results were surprisingly different.

Some winners used large fixed blades.

Some relied on traditional bushcraft knives.

Several won using multitools.

One even trusted a simple Mora.

The biggest lesson?

Skill matters more than gear.

I’ve put together a full breakdown of every winning knife and cutting tool used by Alone champions from Seasons 1–12, along with some interesting patterns I noticed along the way.

Hip Replacement Recovery – Days 8 to 17 🦿

It’s now been 17 days since my hip replacement surgery, so I thought I’d share a quick update on how things are going.

Some days have been better than others, but I’m definitely moving in the right direction. In this video I talk about the progress I’ve made, the challenges I’ve faced, and what recovery has really been like so far.
