Online Class Experience, Study Habits and Strategies (Week 3-6)
This post will show you my experiences in the past 2 months so far, with my own tactics when handle requirements as a First year college student.
Week 3 (November 3, 2021)
This Week is filled with asynchronous classes as I have much free time to study and, this online class experience, gives me a lot of time to finish all my requirements and prepare for finals week, The only effective way for me to study is to have time, using notion app like a to-do list on requirements so I can mark which requirements I shall do it first, which gradually helps me mark my to-do list. While in this week, We received a Mental Health Break which is kinda good but a double edged sword which pilled up the requirements, kinda backfire but I have many patience to do this, I remind myself it is greater good to put in these situations.
Week 4 (November 17, 2021)
This week, I felt tired at this time as requirements and finals are coming as is a very crucial moment for me to give you my strategies on how to optimize and manage time more fluid that it's like you flip an hourglass except instead of sand, it filled with sticky water with robust adhesion. In this journey/experience in an online class, I read many philosophical topics on life, mainly on stoicism. I admire the roman senator named Seneca as his quote changed my mind towards time,
"it is not that we have a short time to live but that we waste a lot of it."
My mentality altered as my productivity changed as well, To manage time is to pick what's the best time to do and, the best to do it is now because the more you wait the more it losses opportunity, however, it's not all suitable in all situations, sometimes in life.
Week 5 (December 1, 2021)
This week I was too prepared to take the final exam as next week I need to study more, however with a time limit of two hours, as I found that time that you can learn for two hours with a high chance of efficient studying, this strategy is working unless you take an effort because, as a procrastinator, I tried my best to work my ass off while making progress and learning new method in this skill but I don't push myself as I see this futile, go with a flow, rest for five minutes then work.
Week 6 (December 15, 2021)
In the midst of enrollment, I have three video requirements, even I finish taking final exams, I have the video requirements to do this semester, the advice I can give to myself and other's who read this, this week that make your time and stress as a friend, you know it doesn't make sense nonetheless to make them friends, firstly make your stress as a motivation, a reminder that you stress the heck out of things and think to yourself why? Why do you start it to finish and make things happen? This shift of mentality makes my laziness discarded and did the job done, in time in other factors, it's about a decision, work hard, get an easy life or work easy, get a hard life. People say time is short, time is just there that we wasted a lot of it that we consumed time for social media and overthinking as for my experience, short advice for this one is, Take risks, don't waste thinking of it and it will be worth it.
