York Minster looking absolutely radiant from 3000 feet on an @edenflighttraining 90 minute Experience Flight from our base at #TeessideAirport for a customer who had never flown before ...... Another beautiful example of gothic architecture in the North of England. Opened in 637AD and also known as the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter, the building is one of the largest of its kind in Northern Europe. The City of York is one of my favourite cities to visit; If you haven’t tried it yet, it is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit once restrictions lift and you can do so safely. Very lucky to be able to fly over such beautiful places. The high winds over the North East today mean that we have taken the decision not to fly following our strict #SafetyFirst approach. The ultimate safety of our students, customers and crew are of paramount importance to us and we pride ourselves on our approach in this regard. Although frustrating when progressing training or looking forward to a trial flight, there are a number of factors which we must take into consideration such as wind, rain, cloud base, fog and COVID to ensure that all those who are flying are safe and have the most enjoyable experience they can whilst with us. Yesterday’s weather meant that we were able to continue our flying activities from our base at #TeessideInternationalAirport with appropriate risk assessments and safety measures in place, with a number of lessons and trial flights taking place during the day. Visiting destinations such as York, Scarborough, Whitby, Pennines, Kendal and the beautiful Roseberry Topping from above is always a pleasure, and we love to share these experiences with our fantastic customers. Thanks to all of our passengers, students and team for respecting the safety measures and a great day of flying activity and to ATC and Fuellers at Teesside for their fantastic support and assistance.
