So this doe has been thinking quite a lot these past days, especially during its daily journalling sessions.
It has become easier to not fall back into the trap of anxiously filling its time with distractions and "events" just to be (or appear to be) busy. To appear relevant and in control of its life.
Instead it began seeing its days as blocks of enjoyable moments with "empty time" in-between. Like one block is an hour of gaming, another is a twenty minute work-out, another a nice trip to the city.
It strives now to include about two such "blocks" into every day while deliberately leaving the time in-between empty. As in "time that needs not to be filled", time that does not need to matter.
Doing this has made life so much easier as it took a lot of unnecessary stress off of this doe's shoulders. Thinking of time not as a constant stream that needs to be filled to the brim, but as a series of event blocks and empty spaces, has lessened its anxiety a lot!
It also noticed that it gets much more done when it doesn't plan for it - like it did a lot of chores at home this weekend which it deliberately didn't schedule this time. But once there was no pressure anymore, it actually did most of those things on the side, in its "empty time".
