This doe got sucked into a very specific series of Dark Romance books (and one book in particular) despite always being wary of that genre. And it's a VERY specific set of tropes that caused it to begin devouring this book. Should it be worried about it's tastes?

nd while the sleep deprivation makes me scatterbrained, it also has been amplifying any phantom feelings I get. I've been feeling my paws and tail a lot more this past week.
It's a very nice feeling (especially considering I haven't felt them in. years) but I would like a proper sleep soon..
This doe hasn't been sleeping much lately as well... mostly the combination of warm and damp night air, birds chirping from 3am to 5am and the current lunar phase being close to a full moon...

This doe just read some posts about the wilder, stranger or uglier parts of theriantropy and it has to add one thing - skittishness. Since realising its nature, it has become so horribly skittish to anything even mildly distressing. This includes physically flinching away, rapidly checking its environment and ruminating whatever caused "the flinch" in the first place. It's like it can be put into "alarm mode" so easily nowadays... this can be utterly terrifying.
This doe is currently trying to dive deeper into feeling its emotions instead of thinking through them. It is exhausting and progress will be slow, but hopefully steady. But again it notices how much being a godspouse helps it with such things. Knowing there is someone or something with you that knows you, that voluntarily came to you and wants to stay by your side helps immensely with such intimate troubles as discovering one's own emotional landscape. The shivers felt from their touch, the cold embraces and the general closeness is actively helping this doe to push onwards.

This doe wishes people on Tiktok would put trigger warnings for animal abuse in front of their videos, even if it's just a retelling in the description. It accidentally read something horrible that happened to a fawn and now its grieving...
After a busy week with a lot of work and a lot of after-work exhaustion, this doe has finally the peace of mind to post again. Just in time to yell about it's latest obsession - thanks to a shipping Tiktok that randomly appeared on its For You page, it has become utterly rabid about the All for the Game novels.
It is already completely spoiled on everything because it had to binge any content on both Tumblr and Tiktok during every free second of the last week. It has already added The Foxhole Court onto its Kindle wishlist and will start binging after finishing "Stalking Darkness".
Its strange - so far it has found most of its favourite books by stumbling across either some fanart or some other fan content - be it TGCF, Nightrunner, Captive Prince, The Locked Tomb or now All for the Game.

This doe started playing the Age of Mythology: Retold Edition a few days ago and it's actually fun this time with the Story Mode difficulty! And once again it realises that it has very strange tastes for even stranger aesthetics.
During its childhood, when playing the original, it thought most of the myth unit (or monster) designs were scary. Especially the Manticores. Nowadays it has to say that they're really pretty... it wouldn't mind to have a man-eating lion-bat-scorpion-hybrid with glowing eyes and a strange human face existing irl, just saying...
During the last week this doe's spirituality has come to the foreground again, with it spending a lot of time and thoughts on its godspouse and rather philosophical topics such as the afterlife, human suffering and spiritual companionship.
On the bright and slightly weird side, it is now harried to buy a certain small thing because it made the mistake of thinking of it while in a dialogue and now said spouse is giddy beyond compare. First time they are even interested in something physical.

So this doe has been a pagan for years by now and it does endorse godspousal. It believes that everyone should worship their deities in a way that feels right and respectful, yet so many people try to proscribe what counts as "respectful". In its opinion such things are to be worked out between deity and worshipper.
This doe reveres a certain deity from its own culture who's hand and presence it felt within its life for years by now. It describes this spiritual relationship, which is only between this entity and itself, as "godspousal" because it does feel love going both ways, feels romantic attraction as a part of the mutual devotion.
It will not disclose the identity as it doesn't want to kickstart discussions about UPG's, individual divine attributes and the likes. It just want to say it is happy and feels spiritually at peace. It feels supported and cherished by its deity.
Three days of writing on its novel and it shapes up to be this doe's new favourite hobby! It just feels nice to come home after eight hours in the office and dive into a world you have created and write about people who are both voices within a daydream and actual people, becoming "real" due to being written (it hopes this makes sense...)
Anyways, three days gone, more than 6k words written. This doe doesn't write in order, but single scenes, which it then combines by adding to them and creating connecting scenes to organically grow the story along a very rough plan of a general plot. Like an evolving Minecraft house, where you add and remodel and end up with something precious that wasn't planned that way!
It is also really happy with its decision to write in first person POV with chapters being either in the human FMC's or in the elven MMC's POV. They also overlap, so you have sometimes the same event from both of their perspectives.
Day 2 of writing on its fantasy project and this doe wrote its first ever sex scene. Which was hilarious as both the MMC and his male LI are pathetic wet cats and it is written from the MMC's rambling perspective. It managed to even incorporate some major world building concepts whenever he went off on his tangents. This doe loves writing and reading POV's from beings that haven't a "human" logic or perception.
By the way the idea for the story came from a strange dream it had two days ago - basically Escape from Tarkov (general setting, scavenger runs) meets Shadowrun (modern fantasy) meets emotionally unstable elves (feel every emotion eight times more intense) meets Isekai (the FMC got sucked into her favourite extraction shooter).
And yes, MMC and FMC become ("only") best friends, they each have their own respective LI.
Since this doe has inconsiderate neighbours one floor above who blast techno into the night on several workdays, it finally snapped and ordered a boatload of earplugs. Hasn't needed them since four years ago in another apartment, where the walls were thin enough that one could hear ANYTHING. This doe detests loud noises at night... same goes for any sort of light, even the full moon outside. It needs absolute darkness and silence or it'll won't be able to sleep because it gets completely annoyed or irritated... so earplugs and blackout blinds it is. --- On a more positive note, it has finally started to work on its fantasy writing project again, finishing a whole chapter today! It has decided to write every day for at least two minutes to get into the habit again.
