"Oh dear" Pearl called and rent-a-ghost back in to the living room. "I don't do well with spiders and there is quite a large one in the kitchen"
Alex jumped as Pearl rent-a-ghosted in, “What is it? Oh.” Alex got an old magazine and rolled it up. “Come here you fucker!” she was crept through the doors into the kitchen, hunting down the spider.
"I've wanted to get in to the 21st century but I don't think I ever will" Pearl gave a small laugh and sat down, slouching just a little.
“It’s fine, 21st century is dull anyway.” She shrugged against and took a magazine from the sofa, starting to read it.
Pearl gripped her arm and they went back to Honolulu heights. "I'm sorry Alex" she mentioned feeling a little bad but she was used to listening to radio four and watching old television.
“No, don’t be sorry.” she laughed at Pearl’s kindness and respect. “Everyone’s different.” she shrugged and threw herself onto the couch.
"I'm still in my old ways Alex" Pearl called back over the blaring music which was too loud for her taste.
“Fine, we’ll go home.” she smiled at Pearl, understanding that people were different. She held out her arm so they rent-a-ghost back to Honolulu Heights.
Pearl didn't actually see that as fun, perhaps it was because she was stuck in her old ways but she just frowned slightly.
“No? Not fun?” she asked, noticing Pearl wasn’t laughing. “Shall we do something else?” she shouted as the music blared loudly.
Once in the bar, Pearl let go of Alex. "I'll just watch" She said as she walked beside Alex, she didn't want Hal to get annoyed with her, after finding him again.
“Okay, but you’ll miss the fun.” she sighed and walked over to the man, and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around screaming abuse at thin air. She put her leg out as the man got up, he fell over but he started to get more aggressive, he punched the bartender and the bouncer dragged him away. She laughed uncontrollably with tears sliding down her face. “Oh my God, that was priceless!” she laughed, wiping away the tears.
"Yes, Okay" Pearl nodded and linked arms with Alex so she could follow her, rather then renting a ghost and having to find her, It felt strange since they only just met.
“Good.” she nodded at Pearl and closed her eyes, picturing the club. The music blared from the stereo, she opened her eyes to see all the lights and people being so alive. “Right, look for the shitfaced ones. Like him at the bar!” she pointed to the man who was kneeling on the floor in front of the bar.
