8: What cleaning product do you swear by? Frosch brand anything. The raspberry vinegar cleanser is my fave because the water here is super hard. Barkeeper's Friend, if you can get your hands on it, also works like magic for cleaning all that is metal and nasty

i think the fact that they clearly didn't tell jdm that there was any kind of tension in his relationship with the boys before his appearance in shadow, so he played it all warmth and fun, adds a level of complexity to the character and the relationship that a show like spn could never handle intentionally.

The reverse unpopular opinion: Lebanon (the episode) and Fanfiction (the episode). Two for the price of one.

honestly i kinda like fanfiction. john and mary husband and wife.... bringing home a brand new life........

plus i think the gender politics of how the episode works and how it fails are interesting. like robbie thompson, noted dude, doesn't really know much about transformative fandom even though he's like openly nerdy, so he gets that stuff wrong. but he kind of saves it by being knowledgeable about high school theater, a similarly dorky passtime that's more gender neutral, and like. slurring the two things together in a believable way.

lebanon.... the thing about lebanon is that i like almost nothing about the execution, but the basic premise, that "john back" is dean's heart's desire? i'm kinda into it. like i could get behind it. like in the general sense it makes sense to me, but also in the specific context. like dean is COLLAPSING because of au michael. he's losing it. and what he craves more than anything is being allowed to give up. no longer having to control or dominate. and that translates into wishing he could roll over, give up his role as patriarch to the only authority figure he's allowed to submit to: his dad. and that's an interesting place for dean to be at in s14!!!!
