issa short story 💚
okay, so i just recently moved to colorado. and i wanna document my time here. this is my first blog, so bare with me. try to enjoy it. or don't. this is basically for me, and you can follow if you want. so when i decided to make the move to colorado (i act like that was a challenge, it was an easy decision to say the least) i had no idea what a summer season was like here. i would try to explain it but words don't justify it. it's kind of like a fairytale. today marks three weeks since i moved and i'm still looking for the words. maybe they'll come to me, maybe not. in the time i have spent here though, i have successfully tried my hand at rock climbing and shooting guns, hiked roughly twenty miles in the mountains, had the best 23rd birthday anyone could ask for, visited red rocks amphitheater to see umphrey's mcgee, and taken a ton of naps. (i am really good at napping) i got a job being a nanny out here to two of the sweetest kids in this valley, lucy and teddy. to say i got blessed by meeting this family is an extreme understatement. they have been helpful in every aspect of getting settled in out here and i will forever be thankful for that. lastly, gnarvail. during my previous vacation time here, i met some pretty cool peoples. those ten people turned to twenty and the twenty turned to forty and next thing i knew, forty people originating from vail were on three houseboat's on the lake i grew up on in tennessee. i followed them back to vail and now because of those nights that turned into mornings with the friends that turned into family, i have a whole other family here that i know i can count on or call at any moment. (sorry this part is a little sappy, but my friends don't suck and yours probably do, so i'm gonna brag) without them, my first three weeks wouldn't have been anything like they have been. so to brooklyn, one of my best childhood friends that brought all these people together and then drug them to tennessee, thank you and i love you.
