headcanon that both Kai and Wyldfyre are terrified of getting sick.

Kai because when he and Nya were little, if either of them got sick they could barely afford to pay for medicine, and it both of them were near-death sick at some point, so Kai grew to fear germs/sickness in general.

Wyldfyre because she grew up fearing quick-spreading diseases like the Wasting Sickness that took so many Dragons from her tribe

So, I’ve been slowly re-working Lizzy’s lore and some key points, so here’s a scene from the Naadam (screenshots taken by @the-littlest-kojin​)

Lizzy’s daggers clang as they fend off the giant auri man’s axe. She kicks off his chest as she backflips over several other auri attackers and dispatches them swiftly with her raitons. As she lands, she glances over Magnai’s shoulder and see Sadu and Shio fighting each other, Shio being engulfed in a fireball and shrugging it off. Sadu cackles as she begins casting another. When suddenly Lizzy is struck in her abdomen by the forgotten xaela.

As she crumbles on the ground, the only thought she can muster is one to put her sunglasses on. “This will make a great Joke.” She lays there as she struggles to focus her white magic on the wound. Though, without her scholar crystal on her, the magic barely does anything. She fades in and out of consciousness as she watches Magnai tower over her, readying his axe. Sadu and Shio, noticing their mutual companion on the ground, immediately turn their attention toward Magnai. Sadu immediately letting loose the meteor that was prepared for Shio. Shio launching her axe without a second thought at the man. He has barely any time to react, and as the axe meets axe, bolstered by a meteor, the auri man gets propelled across the steppe. The two both rush over to Lizzy to offer aid, though Lizzy barely has anything left in her.

Shio urgently starts to wrap the wound, as Lizzy lifts her sunglasses and speaks with a raspy voice, “Don’t you want to axe me how I got this wound?”

And she loses consciousness.

Shio curses at the unconscious raen.

Shio sits at her friends bedside, with several thoughts of what to say when she wakes up. However, as Lizzy opens her eyes, she groggily says a single word, “Abs.” And places her hand on Shio’s abdomen and giggles to herself.

No amount of planning could have prepared Shio for this reaction on waking up. Lizzy says again, “Pretty lady….strong…” as she passes back out. Shio opens her mouth to yell at her dumb friend, but she realizes it’s a futile effort. Her mouth twists in a frustrated frown as she uses her linkpearl to inform Sadu of Lizzy’s condition. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The xaela woman stands over Lizzy. Still passed out. Shio sits in her chair in the corner, observing carefully. Lizzy barely opens her eyes before Sadu speaks, “You fool.” Lizzy’s arm reachs out and touches Sadu’s abdomen too, “Pretty lady….strong….” Sadu, taken by surprise by the action, looks at Shio. Shio shrugs and offers no explanation. Sadu scowls at Lizzy, “You are stronger than that blundering idiot, how did he wound you so?” Lizzy chuckles, and reaches into her bag and pulls out sunglasses. Sadu immediately swats them away. Refusing to budge with her gaze, Lizzy frowns, and mumbles, “…..got distracted….” “By what pray tell?” Sadu continues her interrogation. “Pretty ladies….” Sadu rolls her eyes and storms out of the room.
