Traveling push-ups... spice up your push workouts

Push-ups. They are kinda cool because you can do them anywhere with your own body weight as resistance. Some of the muscles worked are: Chest, triceps, shoulders, abs, thighs, glutes… Wow! Aside from the portability factor, it’s a pretty comprehensive exercise.
If you have been doing them for awhile, you know that there are many, many variations to push-ups. You can use a stability ball, staggered hand position, etc. to challenge yourself and to make workouts more fun.
Today my trainer, Karissa Silva, was doing explosive traveling push-ups and I was able to film her.
I love it when she does cool stuff like this because I know it’s coming my way in our next session. I guess I’m a gym dork because I actually get a little giddy thinking about trying something new like this. I can’t wait to get to the gym tomorrow!
Next time you are traveling or don’t have access to a gym, use your own body weight as resistance and just knock out a set or three of push-ups. Drop and give me 20!
