The Principality of Andorra is an independent microstate situated in the Pyrenee mountains. Its language is Catalan and its capital city is Andorra la Vella (“the Old Andorra”). Andorra is one of the smallest independent countries in the world, with only 468 km² (180.7 square miles). It is also Europe’s most populated microstate, with 76,177 inhabitants, out of which 37,144 have the Andorran nationality.

Andorra has the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley natural park, recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Andorra is also relevant for its Medieval churches in the Romanesque style.
