I really didn't like the white lacing I used on the dark green leaf vest I made for that video last year, so I've replaced them with new laces made of 3 slightly different shades of dark green embroidery floss braided together. Much better.

Sprang (noun) 2
I made an adjustable sprang frame that's much easier to work with! And then immediately started learning double interlinked colorwork, which is much harder and more annoying.
It's kinda like double knitting - you make a green cloth and a maroon cloth, but you switch up which one interlinks in front of the other to make whatever pattern you want (also producing the same pattern in opposite colors on the back of the material). At some point I want to get some good pictures (maybe video?) of the hand- and finger-positions I use to do this kind of colorwork, because it wasn't super intuitive figuring it out on my own.
The fishnet material from my previous sprang post is done, but I haven't made it into anything yet. Been dragging my heels on that one. I also made a fairly lousy hat, from which I learned very little, but did help me use up some small odds and ends of yarn from a thrift-store mixed yarn bag.
@katiemaycreate Okay, so, somehow “Mikey making flower crowns for everyone” turned into “Leo (badly) braiding Mikey’s hair while definitely not being jealous about it”. Oops 😅
Poor Leo. I don’t think de Nile is just a river in Egypt for that poor man.
