Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass

✎ - taste in music/literature
As you might suspect Mikey leans towards things filled with humor. Wit is best but he's certainly not above the toilet humor either. Anything ranging from straight up jokes to any of the more subtle and intelligent humor works though. That goes for both music and literature (IE They might be giants, Ylvis, the xx and zombies or star wars in shakespeare series). Music specific, he's a high energy kind of guy so you can imagine his repertoire includes a lot of 'dance' music of any kind. Although he still doesn't care for polka unless it's Al Yankovic and prefers a more urban sound in general. Literature specific, he's also a simply guy so enjoys things made for pop culture and short attention spans. Less known though, is that he has always been an avid reader, and as he grew into adulthood he did branch out from comics to classics. He found a great love of age old stories retold in modern ways, or even just referenced. It really became clear that some themes are truly universal, be it for humans, mutants or aliens and he loves seeing the vines of those stories told from generation to generation growing and molding, guiding and teaching, regardless of background, ethnicity, species or even planet of origin. That's why he loves animation in particular because it very often blends to two worlds of intelligent literature and children's programming in a very inconspicuous way. His own writing took a different path however and it almost completely adult in nature, or at least young adult and up. It was a good way to deal with his struggles, loss and grief, even if it he didn't take anything directly from his own life to put in his novels.
//I head cannon that now that his whimsy has returned he'd entertain writing something entirely different, like a comic of his own or maybe an adventure for younger audiences with a more positive feel.
Spidey, by no means, was a stalker. Nor a boy who would fall head over webs for strange girls he had never met in his life, desperate for that chance to catch her eye; to get her attention for only a moment, then turning away and pretending to yawn; berating himself for missing the opportunity to ask her out when she wasn't looking.
Yet as he dashed across the rooftops to follow the thin girl with the shaven head and turquoise fringe, he had wondered if he was capable of being that type of guy. It wasn't her good looks, but perhaps the familiarity in which she carried herself. Catching just the sound of her voice set off his Spidey-Sense in the subtlest of ways he never thought possible. It could be anything. Danger, deja vu, admiration. And that, to him, was more than enough reason to follow her.
So he did. And he waited. And when she crossed a dead street into a dark and empty boulevard, Spidey stopped waiting.
Spinning a string of mock webbing the spider descended upon the shady alley with such focus unusual for him. Her back was turned. His feet lightly touching the cool concrete pavement without a sound. Taking a breath, Peter ventured towards the perplexing woman with short, anxious steps.
"Hello," he said, his speech noticeably stilted. “This is going to sound very weird --please don't freak out-- but..I swear I've met you somewhere before. And I really hope that isn't because you're one of my villains."
(( You are alive! It's really good to see you. : ) ))
