The heat death of the world

Are we still human when all there is left is only our conscience? Are we still human when all there is left is flesh and bones? Are we human because we feel? Are we human because our hearts keep beating? Are we human because we think? Are we human because we love and dream? Or are we human because we cry and scream? Is it our pain that makes us human? Is it our joy that makes us human? Is it both our pain and joy that makes us human? Or is it our flesh, our bones, our heart that beats that makes us human?
What does it mean to be human? What is human?
What is humanity?
Haunted by my own exsistance.
Trying not to think too hard about it.
I remember sitting at a party, a wedding or birthday or anniversary or something. I didn’t want to be there, wearing a scratchy dress, sitting in a too loud and hot place waiting to go home. I wonder why anyone would go to a party. Why anyone would host such a thing. Was everyone here because “it’s expected”? Who was this for? Who was enjoying the forced small talk with people you barely know or remember? Was everyone putting on an uncomfortable front because “that’s just what you do”?
All the world’s a stage, but who is the audience?
I later learnt that some people enjoyed this nonsense, and I guess that’s less horrifying than a societal suffering machine of social expectations.
