What does that mean? Both of them sleep in the same room, but in different beds. Legato was alright with this, as he was already happy to be with her; no one can separate them now, that's what he thinks. Thinking of this, he walked out of the room; probably Rachel would love a cup of tea and a slice of cake first thing in the morning.
As time flew away, Legato noticed the weight of the burden that Rachel bore on her shoulders; longer absences, shorter talks, and the distance between their beds looked like an abyss to him. He knew it was not her fault, but he was scared. Scared of losing her. Scared of being a kid instead of man. Scared of being a burden.
That night, she returned, covered in bruises and dust, too exhausted to take a bath. She silently walked in and saw Legato, sleeping on his bed, with his back turned on her. Rachel frowned, feeling guilty about the constant absences and the scarce time she dedicated to him. But it was for his own good. To protect him from the horrors she experienced during countless cycles. Taking off her shoes, Rachel laid on her bed and tried to sleep, to no avail.
Legato wasn't sleeping either; he was too worried about her to sleep. He wanted to hug her the moment she entered the room, but maybe she was too tired... or maybe he was too scared. He looked over his shoulder and noticed she was still wearing her dress. It was his chance.
He got off his bed and walked to hers. "Dear?" His voice was the only sound in the room, but Rachel didn't answer. Legato sighed and thought of going back to his bed... but that's what a child would do. He laid on the bed, and hugged her.
"Rachel... I'm so glad to see you safe..." He hugged her tight, as if she were to disappear if he didn't. "I want to keep you safe, too... I don't want to be a burden, but I don't want to be the knight in shining armor who saves you everytime... I just want to be the man who stands by your side to support you, walking together towards a better future.."
Rachel rolled on the floor to face him; she was smiling. Did he say something she wanted to hear? As she got closer to him, Legato closed his eyes and moved himself closer to her as well, ready to get that long-awaited kiss... only to wake up in his bed, at the old Legato manor, finding out it was all just a dream. Maybe a vision of the future? Or just that... a dream. So close, yet so far.

OKAY EXTRA LIVELY NOW. ON CALL 2 AND I MISS IT AND I SEE AND I AM SO SPEECHLESS AND I JUST WANT TO WATCH, K. ANYWAY. I FOUND A SONG WHICH WAS SANG BY NIKI AND KEVIN CHENG SO I AM CURRENTLY FEELING OHMYGOSH THEY'RE SO GOOD FOR EACH OTHER AND I LIKE THEM TOGETHER OHMYGOSHHHHHH.
I'm also weirded out cuz I miss my friends so much and I've only known them a few weeks and I've not seen them in like two days. I feel like the clingiest person ever but :(
