“Am Montag fand eine ganz zentrale Veranstaltung der bayerischen Politik statt, der politische Frühschoppen beim Gillamoos, einem großen bayerischen Volksfest. Hier ‘mal ein Zusammenschnitt der diesjährigen Highlights.”
Germany produces so much electricity, we're giving it to Austria for free. It's a gift. And what do they do with that? Turn up their Hansi Hinterseer music.

Right, I wasn’t going to blog about the show that shall not be named anymore but as if that ever works. Extra3, a German political satire show, did their own take on it, “Sherlock in 120 seconds”.
And all my thoughts aren’t exactly new but this parody really reminded me how much we have to thank Benedict for playing Sherlock the way he did. In the clip the focus is on Sherlock being a sociopath, and yadda yadda Mofftiss always claimed they wanted to show his way from this to a good man. But if this is what they were trying to do the over the course of the years then they failed because Ben gave us the humanity from the start.
And if Mofftiss had got their way I would not have stuck around this long. I would have noped out after S1. Sociopathic manipulative asshole Sherlock is not something I’m interested in. I also never read the popular fics that made the rounds in fandom after S1. That didn’t ring true to me because of Ben’s acting because there was obviously more depth lurking beneath the surface but also because I don’t enjoy watching characters like this.
And now I see this clip and this might just be how a lot of people do see Sherlock after all, that over the top super genius douchebag that doesn’t appreciate people and is only in it for the good ol’ game. And Mofftiss never really helped stop this characterisation. They’ve been jumping around with it since forever, and when you think Sherlock does have ~feelings it ends up being downplayed or overshadowed by dumb plot twists and inconsistent writing that ruin this impression again.
