Puzzling attacks leave police vexed
Police responded early yesterday to reports of a potential bomb in the atrium of the Gotham Museum of Art. According to eyewitnesses, a hulking ceramic grenade -- a prominently displayed piece from the current exhibit -- began to tick and emit thick clouds of smoke, sending patrons scattering toward the exits. Explosives technicians quickly arrived on the scene and assessed that the object posed no threat. However, museum officials reported that someone had torn multiple paintings from their frames during the commotion. Interviews with the museum’s curator revealed that the suspect had drawn small green question marks over the artist’s signatures, providing seemingly intentional clues for police. These cryptic hints led officers to believe that Gotham’s bustling Union Station had been targeted for bombing. Numerous emergency units were immediately dispatched to the train station, and first responders came on the scene in the nick of time, discovering an active bomb in a row of storage lockers. With seconds to spare, a quick-thinking officer hurled the device into an unoccupied corner of the concourse, where it detonated without a single casualty. Police describe the perpetrator as both intelligent and calculated. So far no suspects have been named, leaving the department scrambling for leads as they aim to calm a fearful public.
At Celestial Gardens, life is a joke
Tonight, music meets mayhem when our very own Jeri takes the stage.
Anything can happen at the city’s sickest club, but one things for sure: she always gets the last laugh.
Meltdown
The brutal reign of Mr. Freeze has come to a tragic end.
Victor Fries, a.k.a. Mr. Freeze, is dead. The city breathed a sigh of relief yesterday, as the GCPD confirmed that Fries’ had indeed died at Arkham Asylum from a self-inflicted wound from his own weapon. His death, however, came as no comfort to the loved ones of the many victims he left during his sick spree across Gotham. In an ironic twist, Fries took one final life before he died -- his wife Nora. As police piece together the story, it has become clear that Fries’ original intention was to save his terminally ill wife with the use of cryogenics. While his motives were noble, Fries sadly began targeting local citizens for experimental trials of his cooling agent. While Fries was linked to the disappearance of many people, it wasn’t until police discovered a makeshift laboratory in his basement that the bodies of his victims were found. In recent days, Fries’ efforts had grown increasingly aggressive, including attacks on a Gotham City patrolwoman as well as a local pharmacist. A prescription bottle found at the pharmacy helped police trace Fries back to his home where they discovered only an ailing Nora who was taken into custody before being transferred to Arkham for medical treatment. An angered Fries refused to turn himself in, continuing his experiments and leaving a slew of victims at the ACE Chemical plant where it is believed he acquired his liquid helium. Fries attacked Arkham Asylum early yesterday, with various reports confirming a violently tense standoff with officers and guards before escaping with his wife and Dr. Leslie Thompkins, who was acting as Nora’s physician. According to Thompkins, the only surviving witness, Fries’ brought the women back to his home where he intended to cryogenically freeze his wife. As Gotham City police officers surrounded the home, Fries’ was briefly distracted, during which time it is believed that Mrs. Fries replaced the cartridge in his gun with a deadly strain of liquid helium. Moments later, with time running out, Thompkins witnessed Fries fatally shoot his wife. Grief-stricken, he allowed Thompkins to escape before turning his gun on himself. Police discovered multiple victims in sub-zero freezers in Fries’ basement. While Fries was breathing at the scene, he was transported by ambulance to Arkham, where he died of his injuries.
Cold War in Gotham
Citizens on alert as GCPD hunts for assailant dubbed “Mr. Freeze.”
The list of victims is rising as wanted suspect Victor Fries continues his spree around the city. The manhunt for Fries has been ramped up heavily in light of his brazen attack on a Gotham City police officer. Police are keeping quiet on the details of the attacks, but have confirmed that Fries has been encasing his targets in ice using a homemade gun that expels rays of super-cooled liquid helium. Associated with cryogenic testing, this news has raised eyebrows around town as the recently troubled Wayne Industries are known manufacturers of the substance. Residents are being told to stay on the lookout for the suspect, who also goes by the alias “Mr. Freeze.”
What’s The Coroner Doing At Indian Hill?
Strange Photo Stirs Suspicions
A photo has surfaced showing a Gotham City Coroner’s van entering the Indian Hill dump site, and it's stirring up questions. The coroner’s office claims there’s no reason a van of theirs would be in an area for toxic waste disposal and questions the authenticity of the photograph. Stories and urban legends are often associated with Indian Hill due to it’s history and proximity to Arkham Asylum. No doubt this alleged incident will only add to the long list of myths and ghost stories already being told about it.

Religious Fanatics In Gotham?
Men Dressed As Monks Linked to Murders Around The City
While investigating a string of seemingly unrelated homicides, GCPD detectives were led under the city and into the sewers of Gotham. There they found the body of an unidentified man kneeling before a makeshift altar, in what appeared to be one of many ritualistic murders. The GCPD believes that this homicide, and at least seven others, are linked to a fanatical sect of religious extremists. Although the group has not been officially identified, sources within the GCPD say they belong to a group called “The Order of St. Dumas.” The GCPD have one suspect in custody, but are releasing very little information in this ongoing investigation.
