03.31.2017 I've had a Rough week. Last Thursday, my tooth started aching. The one that I had a root canal done on about 2 years ago. I immediately knew that my infection had returned but I couldn't get a dentist appointment until Tuesday. From Thursday to Tuesday my pain escalated and I called off of work on Monday and Tuesday, expecting to return on Wednesday with antibiotics and oxycodone in hand. However, when I went in, there was a new (very attractive) dentist on call because my normal one was ill. This new guy was like "We're gonna pull your tooth". Immediately, I was panicked. A little history about me. I hate the dentist and always have so, I like to do some research about potential procedures before they occur. I did not have the opportunity to do this and that cause my anxiety to go through the roof. I actually ended up sobbing after he inject about 5 shots of Lidocaine. He was really rough and he hurt my already hurting gums. Then I started having a panic attack and got nauseous and my blood pressure went through the roof. (He told me the lidocaine injection contained epinephrine and that caused the neasea and increased heart rate). Then he pulled my tooth out and that wasn't too bad because I couldn't feel anything. I still didn't go back to work until today (Friday) and I'm still a little bit in pain. The good thing is...I've lost a lot of weight because I haven't eaten in 3 days. Also, other good news: my bed frame is being delivered tomorrow and I'm so excited. I'll finally go back to sleeping in a bed! My home will be complete.
