El 3 de septiembre de 2021 Tomás Fernando Flores anunció en Siglo 21 el fin de la emisión del programa. Una noticia triste, que a los oyentes nos pilló por sorpresa y que lamentamos sobremanera, ya que nos ha dejado un vacío irremplazable. Han sido más de 20 años llenando nuestras vidas y alimentando nuestra sed cultural, especialmente musical, con innovación, haciéndonos cuestionar hechos establecidos y costumbres culturales. Agitador cultural por excelencia, no hay ningún programa equiparable a Siglo 21. Y no solo en Radio 3, sino en ninguna emisora española. En cierto modo nos quedamos un poquito huérfanos.

Además del estilo musical vanguardista y disruptivo que siempre ha caracterizado al programa de Tomás F. Flores, se pierden cantidad de espacios que hacían de Siglo 21 algo especial. Entre esos espacios, obviamente, se encuentra "Notas de Extramuros" de Víctor García Guerrero, que en este audioblog en Tumblr se ha querido homenajear, para que esos textos no se perdieran en lo efímero de las ondas. Siempre habrá que agradecer a Tomás los años que nos ha brindado con Siglo 21 y también a Víctor por sus Notas de Extramuros.

Afortunadamente, y aunque por desgracia Siglo 21 haya sido cancelado por mucho que nos pese a sus fans, Víctor ha mudado la emisión de sus geniales notas a otro programa de Radio 3: Efecto Doppler, que ahora llama a la sección simplemente "Extramuros". Los audios, además de disfrutarlos en "a la carta" de RNE, también se están subiendo a Spotify. Es por esto que ya no tiene sentido seguir con este audioblog.

Gracias, Víctor, por tus geniales Notas de Extramuros, y disfrutad ahora de ellas en Efecto Doppler o en Spotify.

Por cierto, no os perdáis la entrevista que Víctor concedió al magazine digital El Agitador.
