i have a question do you have a meta (either yourself or know one) that dicusses why sam and dean won't die in end of the show?
Hm, I mostly see it talked about in grumpy posts during fandom wank moments when Jared or Jensen get too into the idea of another ‘everyone dies’ ending, which I don’t tend to reblog. And I’m not wading through anyone’s ‘wank for ts’ tag to find something like that. :P

I think generally the argument comes in the form of “urgh they’ve got such an outdated version of what the show is about and where the characters are going, it’s just not structured like that any more” kind of angle, suggesting that at least since Carver Era the characters have been set up and torn down in such a way a resolution for them is sort of building them back up to a healthy place, and as the focus in on character building it’s now more about finding a meaningful ending for the characters themselves, not the universe at large.
I mean there are probably people who’d argue it another way but that’s the sort of viewpoint I agree with. :P
