Confidence is kind of fleeting for her, and depends a lot on the situation and amount of people who think one way about her. Her physical looks are no issue for her, she’s very confident in that aspect. But if someone puts her down intentionally it will take her a while to build back up. 

She’s not too preoccupied with the way she looks vs how people think of her. Bad opinions about her intelligence or personality is what hurts her confidence the most. And people usually don’t have very high opinions of sex workers to begin with. So a lot of her self deprecating really just comes from her job and how it’s affected the way she’s been treated.

first crush:

Sam before his big gay revelation: “I don’t know, I suppose I’m not not really that interested in romance. I don’t really get crushes!”

Sam after his big gay revelation: woke up in the middle of the night realizing he had a giant all-consuming crush on his third grade teacher, Mr. Harmon

asking out: in an established relationship, a nice even mix of who decides what they’re doing; when dating, he’s a wuss and would much prefer to be asked out and not have to face rejection tbh!!!

getting married: YES. he’s embarrassed about it bc he’s sort of obscurely convinced it’s unmanly, but -- he wants a wedding, he wants a honeymoon, he wants to get married and build a life with someone

Hands, legs?

He takes such good fucking care of his hands tbh. The nails are always nice and short and he never gets calluses and they have almost no scars (only a few small ones from paper cuts that have healed) if you saw his hands and nothing else you'd think "who is this rich pre-war fanatic who can buff and care for his hands" and you'd never suspect he spends a lot of time working with his hands, on machines or guns or w/e. Of course that would be if he weren't wearing gloves like he usually does.

His legs are shit. Absolute shit. They're both covered in scars. His left knee is covered in scar tissue from the many times he's broken his knee, and his left has a strange array of cig burn scars from before he was shot that translate to "F-U-C-K." He's probably going to replace his left knee soon in canon because it hurts like fuck. more and more often.

"I bought and traded those swords. They're all very dear to me. You may /hold/ one. If you want to use it you have to complete a 3 day safety and training course with a wooden sword then you can advance to a blunted training blade."
