Kay’s kids had to grow up pretty fast considering who their mother is. Overall Kay really didn’t do too much wrong, but the outside effects of her life impacted them quite a bit. All of her kids have very pleasant loving memories of her, despite their not ideal upbringing.

Kay has a pretty co dependent relationship with her kids since she mothers them, and they comfort her when she’s distressed. Her oldest child Bunny looks out for her when shes upset or being abused by Rich who floats in and out of their lives up until the end. She only lives until 32 and her murder is pretty tragic for everyone involved. Her kids stay together in the foster system for awhile, since Richard goes down for Kay’s death and he’s only the father to one of those kids anyway. The two oldest Bunny 6, Kitty 5, stay together, while the twins Lula-mae and Daisy 2, are adopted by another family. They all eventually reconnect, albeit down the line 10 years.

RIP

Send “RIP” and I’ll write a drabble of my Muse dying.

      Seconds pass before she could fully grasp the situation, the loud tread of heavy boots and the slam of her outer trailer door. The dull thud of her head connecting with the tile of her wall seemed to linger. What was usually a soft bounce off the wall used as a warning, to listen more carefully, to shut up; was mixed with a lethal combination of liquor and frustration. Left before he could even notice the blood that began to stain the grout in between the tile. 

       Felt a sudden drowsiness that seemed too dire to ignore, drowned out her body’s alert that something was very wrong. An intense pressure and ringing in her ears, louder than the hiss of the sink that was still running above her. One attempt to stand, slips back to the floor when she couldn’t get a solid grip on the side of the tub. Rests her cheek against it, a whine escapes her; frustrated and afraid. Her effort to keep her eyes open dwindle with the fluttering of her lashes, hiccups interrupting her unsteady breath. Still dazed by the suddenness of it all, she only thinks of the pending hospital expenses. 

       The sink continues to run. Forty minutes of silence before a door creaks open, all quiet and coast seemingly clear. Little footsteps approach and small fists pound on the bathroom door, concerned about the prior commotion. Worry apparent in their voices, they know these situations well.

                    “–Mommy?”

Kay’s not violent in any sense of the word but when she does get frustrated she tends to resort to tiny acts of violence like stomping on toes or smacking/punching people in the arm or the back. Usually then she runs away and cries and this is usually in situations with yelling, bc she gets very fight-y/scared when someone raises their voice.

      “Sides’ I got my dads people...An’ ain’t no one can get me outta’ this contract either ‘thout gettin’ me killed. Not like if i’m gettin’ strangled by some client I can just call on ol’ Lola, cause you’d tell me how dumb I was for twenty minutes before you send someone to help.”
