We’re looking for an artist to produce a piece of artwork for our Eye Candy pop-up store in central Birmingham.
About the Pop-up:
The Eye Candy Pop-Up Store will open on Wednesday 28th September for 10 days. It will host mini workshops and masterclasses and sell limited edition artworks.
The shop has several floor to ceiling window panels (partitioned by wood which can not be painted on / over).
What we need:
We’re looking for an attractive, colourful style to include the Eye Candy Pop-Up and Dates info. There must be space for people to see inside the store (so not a complete covering). It could be up to mid height for example or sporadic across the window.
The piece could produced on temporary vinyl or painted directly on to the glass (using appropriate removable paint). There is also a white wall behind the window which can be incorporated in to the design. It could be 3D and placed behind the window space (hung from the ceiling for example). We are open to ideas.
If painted/installed live the piece would need to be produced on Sunday 24th - Monday 25th September in time for the opening on the 28th September.
Budget:
We have an inclusive budget of up to £1200 for this piece of work which should include all artist’s design and production, installation, materials (printing, post, paint where required) and travel.
How to apply:
If you would like to apply we need to see examples of previous work and a rough idea of style, either images of previous work to be adapted or a rough sketch of what you would like to propose.
