Mucho Brumcha at Birmingham Weekender
We were asked to take part in this year’s Birmingham Weekender and so we set about making an event as colourful as we could think. OK so timing wasn’t necessarily spot on but we thought we’d bring the spirit of the Mexican Day of the Dead festivities a little early to the city. If you came along then we have captured some of the fine social media activity over on Storify which you can see here. Image above of Madam Mango Circus performer by Andrew Fox.

Felt Mistress at Eye Candy 2014
He was tall, handsome and had a hell of a lot of admirers - even with those pink and blue cowboy boots and exposed nipples.
The Great Advisor, made by the awesome Felt Mistress, was there to listen to visitor's questions. He would then offer some advice from his trusty basket.
It has to be said his advice was often controversial; we heard comments like "Not with those shoes" and "Ask Sandra, she'll know". None of us knew who Sandra was but we're hoping to find her one day.
Dazeray: A Friendly Conversation
By far one of our most interactive commissions ever was the lovely sound monsters built by Murray and Daisy. Dazeray's piece jingled and jangled, whirred and whizzed (depending on what you hit, pulled or spun around).
The sculptures have found a new home at a school - we hope the kids enjoy them as much as we did!
Anna Garforth and Dale Stephens at Eye Candy 2014
After a stunning debut commission for Eye Candy 2013 (the beautiful Geo Fox in Southside) Anna Garforth was top of our list to ask back to Eye Candy for 2014.
This year Anna collaborated with Furniture/Concept designer Dale Stephens on Tutti Frutti - a colourfully juicy new addition to the front of Boxxed in Digbeth.

Brothers of the Stripe at Eye Candy 2014
All-male collective The Brothers of the Stripe came from all over England to join Eye Candy in Birmingham to produce a large-scale wall piece called the 'Character Conga'. Over 2.5 days the Brothers sketched out and painted the piece completing it well in time before close of play Saturday.
The also presented a set of stamp and print workshops.

Tutti Frutti is a collaboration between Set designer Anna Garforth and Furniture/Concept designer Dale Stephens. The nightclub Boxxed, positioned in the creative hub of Birmingham (opposite The Custard Factory) was given a juicy facelift! The project was commissioned by the annual pop culture and arts festval Eye Candy.
