My new glasses came in. They fixed the prescription so that my lenses no longer correct for the astigmatism that I DON’T HAVE! (I’m just very nearsighted.)
That right eye lens has been the WRONG prescription for 2 years. TWO YEARS!
They had red and green color filters over the usual eye test stuff to test me last time and I was literally just guessing because I couldn’t tell which picture was clearer when one was tinted red and the other tinted green.
Anyway, I told them this and they took the color filters off and it turns out that NO! My eyes didn’t get substantially worse! Wow! Who would have thunk it!?
I’m annoyed at my mom for telling me to just wait out the bad prescription and “adjust” to it. I have highly suspected it was wrong since it came in. But life got in the way and we couldn’t even schedule a new eye appointment until the next (covered by insurance) annual one, so I never went back to ask them to re-test me.
But luckily it’s fixed now. I can SEE PROPERLY! My right eye doesn’t need to work nearly as hard and everything is in perfect focus. (Well, as perfect as focus gets when you have ADHD)
So yeah. An allergy med that was messing up my brain chemistry and the wrong glasses prescription messing up my vision plus a new job PLUS a lot of major life changes and appointments and anxiety and a trial run of ADHD meds that also weren’t the right meds. (Possibly due to interacting with that dumb allergy med) No wonder the last couple years have been so freakin’ turbulent.
I don’t know whether to cry or laugh or punch something. Honestly, I’m too tired to do any of that. I’m just relieved. So so relieved.

Do any of u get ice-pick headaches ?? I haven’t had any in over a year but I just remembered them and Iooked it up and found that most people don’t get them until they’re 45 or older, so I was curious if any of u have ever experienced them ?
